Dove Shampoo & Conditioner

So one of my new faves is Dove shampoo and conditioner.  I tried some once at my in-laws house and found that it left my hair feeling pretty nice and it was really shiny and full.  It kind of sat in the back of my mind and when i was in Costco the other day I found some supersize bottles.  I decided to try them again and see if they had the safe effect....they sure did.  The cost was very reasonable for the size, about 8 dollars or so.  I put them in our shower and we've been using it daily.

The shampoo suds up great and cleans very well.  The smell is not overpowering it's nice and clean. The conditioner is not cheap at all, good consistency.  Not too thin, not horribly thick.  Conditions my hair very well.   I really like this stuff!

I have tried lots of shampoos and conditioners in my time and this is one of the good ones.  My husband tends to be addictied to one brand that begins with a "p"....but i found that my scalp and hair were left with a greasy residue.

Try Dove..you may like it.

Salma Hayeks Nuance Beauty Line!

Salma Hayek has introduced her new product line Nuance Salma Hayek at your local CVS store.

I had heard about it but thought it was at QVC and made a note to go on the website and check it out.   However, when I was checking out the Maybelline products I noticed Salma's line!!!

I was excited and of course the first things I checked out were the products
and the prices.  Prices were comprable to other brands, maybe a dollar or two
higher but the packaging was nice and I heard that the line was made from
natural ingredients based on beauty "recipes" Salma's Grandmother taught
her growing up.

The first product that I tried was the lipstick.   I needed a lipstick since I misplaced my makeup bag so that was the first reason I had gone to CVS anyway.  The shade I chose was Shimmering Nude at about $8 ... the tube was really nice, the artwork very feminine.  The scent is is sort of cocoa butter , coconut-ish scent and it goes on VERY smooth (no gross taste).  It deposits a lot of pigment on your lips so it's actually wonderful that way.   It keeps my lips very smooth and moisturized and the colors lasts for a while, so I don't have to reapply constantly.

The next time I ventured into CVS I walked out with the Lights, Camera, Action three in one stick ($9.79).  This was actually pretty neat, it has a liquid eyeshadow, a highlighting stick and an eyeliner all in one.  I used this in the car on the way to work (shhhhh) and it was so quick and convienient!  I have the bronze/gold shimmer and it's pretty light.  The shimmer stick is a pearly whitish color and the eyeline is very black.  The line went on very smooth and I used a smudge sponge to make a smoky eye.  I have been used this most often.

And I purchased the Natural eyeshadow quad ($9.79)

I will admit, the shape is what got my attention.  I think it's pretty cool and unique.  I haven't tried these colors just yet but you get a generous amount of shadow in this set.  The colors are very nice.  I will be trying these out this weekend.

**update**
Just bought the primer and concealer/highlighter.  Wonderful!  My face looks smooth and clean with the primer and the concealer worked very well and the highlighter brightens up the face. The consistency is very good, goes on smooth, no tugging.  I love it!

So far, I have nothing but good things to say about the line.  I will be looking forward and saving to buy more products from the line.  So more reviews coming soon!
